It all happened over coffee… No.001

In the lunch line of her dormitory, Audrey looked up into ‘the brown eyes of a tall dark-haired, young man. ‘He handed me a tray, and smiled,’ Audrey fondly recalls, ‘I smiled back.’ Richard suggested they ‘meet4coffee’ (wink-wink) at the local coffeehouse. ‘College life isn’t going to be half bad,’ Aud thought to herself.

We discussed everything,’ Audrey says of their coffeehouse encounter. ‘Time evaporated and before we realized it two hours had passed. Dick went to football practice and I went back to my dorm to meet some new freshman.’ Before they parted, they made arrangements for another date--- again for coffee.

Fifty – two years and four children later, Audrey and Dick still share coffee every Saturday morning on their ‘breakfast date.’ Now there is inspiration for all us, and to think, ‘it all happened over coffee!’
